ZIUA NAȚIONALĂ A HOLOCAUSTULUI, 9 OCTOMBRIE 2018

Elevii Liceului Laude-Reut au participat marți, 9 octombrie 2018, la ceremoniile organizate de către Institutul Național pentru Studierea Holocaustului din România Elie Wiesel (INSHR-EW), cu ocazia Zilei Naționale de Comemorare a Victimelor Holocaustului, desfășurate în București.

Însoțiți de președintele Complexului Educațional Laude-Reut, Tova Ben Nun-Cherbis și de profesori, elevii Laude-Reut au depus o coroană de flori la Memorialul Holocaustului, în cadrul ceremoniei desfășurată în prezența a numeroși miniștri în exercițiu, a Excelențelor lor doamne și domni ambasadori, reprezentanți ai corpului diplomatic acreditat la București, a membrilor Federației Comunităților Evreiești din România și a altor distinși participanți din cadrul societății civile și supraviețuitori ai tragediei. Mesajul pios al zilei de astăzi exprimă public compasiunea și respectul pentru memoria celor dispăruți nedrept pe criterii etnice și rasiale în perioada celui de al doilea război mondial, precum și îndemnul la luarea de atitudine în fiecare zi, în viața noastră cotidiană.

În octombrie 1941, regimul Ion Antonescu declanșa faza finală a distrugerii în masă e evreilor din România și din teritoriile administrate, iar în iunie 1942, începea deportarea romilor în Transnistria. În luna octombrie 2018 se împlinesc 77 de ani de la unul dintre cele mai întunecate episoade din istoria României, când sute de mii dintre cei deportați au murit prin împușcare, din cauza frigului, a lipsei de hrană sau a bolilor epidemice. Acest sumbru moment din istoria secolului trecut a urmat altor două tragice evenimente: masacrul legionar din București (ianuarie 1941) și pogromul de la Iași (iunie 1941).

Elevii Laude-Reut au susținut un moment ceremonial, în după-amiaza zilei de 9 octombrie, în Piața Elie Wiesel, la dezvelirea bustului lui Elie Wiesel, supraviețuitor al lagărelor de la Auschwitz- Buchenwald și laureat al Premiului Nobel pentru Pace. Bustul este realizat de sculptorul american Marc Mellon, iar ceremonia a fost organizată de Primăria Generală a Municipiului București, cu sprijinul Institutului Elie Wiesel. Cu această ocazie au luat cuvântul Primarul General al Capitalei, doamna Gabriela Firea, Ambasadorul Statelor Unite ale Americii, domnul Hans Klemm, Ambasadorul Statului Israel, doamna Tamar Samash, sculptorul care a creat statuia, domnul Marc Richard Mellon și domnul Alexandru Florian, director al INSHR-EW.

Delegația de elevi și profesori Laude-Reut a fost invitată în aceași zi la Palatul Cotroceni, la proiecția filmului „Îmi este indiferent dacă în istorie vom intra ca barbari”, în regia lui Radu Jude, premiat cu Globul de Cristal la Festivalul Karlovy Vary, în vara 2018. Evenimentul a fost organizat de către Administrația Prezidențială și Institutul „Elie Wiesel”, prin bunăvoința regizorului.

Prezența elevilor Complexului Lauder-Reut la aceste evenimente nu este una întâmplătoare, ci face parte integrantă a pregătirii lor în cadrul cursurilor de diplomație, istoria Holocaustului și tradițiilor evreiești, alături de inițiative precum elaborarea și editarea primului manual pentru studierea Holocaustului în liceele din România (2006), March of the Living (2012, 2013, 2018), Podurile Toleranței, traducerea și lansarea versiunilor în limba română a cărților Niciodată nu ești pe ultimul drum, scrisă de Felix Zandman, supraviețuitor al Holocaustului (aprilie 2016) și 186 de Trepte - Intâmplările unui adolescent evreu în lagărele de la Auschwitz, Mauthausen, Melk și Ebensee, scrisă de Alexandru Marton, evreu de origine română, supraviețuitor al Holocaustului (mai 2018), vizite de studiu în orașe europene marcate de această tragedie a umanității, precum Berlin și Paris (mai 2016).

Să nu uităm niciodată, fie-le memoria binecuvântată!

Impresiile elevilor:

Discursurile personalităților prezente la comemorarea Holocaustului au fost toate deosebite. M-a mișcat adevărul pe care l-au surprins într-o maniera neutră și finețea cu care și-au dezvăluit trăirile și sentimentele supraviețuitorii. Tema egalității între oameni a fost regăsită in spusele lor, transmisă cu emoție.

Hartenis Theia-Cristina-Sofia, a IX-a R

 Comemorarea Holocaustului mi-a oferit o perspectivă despre acest eveniment dur care a lasat o pata neagră in urma sa. Cel mai mult m-au impresionat vorbele Doamnei Ambasador al Israelului în România, care a atras atentia asupra faptului ca dacă ignorăm acest eveniment, uitând de tot ce au infruntat evreii in cel de-al doilea Razboi Mondial, e ca si cum nu s-ar fi intamplat. Asa ca, aceasta comemorare a fost un prilej de a păstra vie amintirea victimelor holocaustului, dar și o lecție de toleranță.

 Am fost impresionată de discursurile tuturor vorbitorilor, dar în special de cel al doamnei Ambasador al Israelului. Dumneaei a făcut apel la toleranță și la implicare atunci când vedem că sunt încălcate drepturile sau demnitatea celor din jur. Sunt mândră că am participat alături de Tova și de colegii mei la depunerea de coroane de flori. Solemnitatea momentului a fost accentuată de garda de onoare a jandarmeriei române.

Scutelnicu Ana Maria, a IX-a R

 Mi-a plăcut discursul domnului Vainer, președintele comunității evreiești, în care a vorbit despre moartea evreilor în al doilea război mondial, dar nu s-a concentrat doar pe acel genocid, ci și de moartea celor 54 milioane de oameni in cel de al doilea razboi mondial și trebuie sa învățăm din asta.

 Am reținut din discursul Domnului Ambasador al Americii ca trebuie sa ne cunoaștem trecutul pentru a ne construi viitorul. De asemenea, am fost impresionată când unul dintre vorbitori a amintit despre copiii care au suferit și și-au pierdut viața în timpul Holocaustului.

 Mi-au placut discursul Doamnei Ambasadoare a Israelului care a vorbit despre toleranta, ignoranta si bullying (parea ca se adresa in special elevilor) si cel al Domnului Vainer, președintele comunității evreiești, care nu a mentionat doar despre moartea a milioane de evrei, ci si de cea a altor oameni de diverse nationalitati. M-a impresionat să văd și să ascult unul dintre supravietuitorii Holocaustului, pentru că experiența sa dureroasă a devenit mai concretă.

 M-au impresionat discursurile și prezența supraviețuitorilor deoarece ei au trăit Holocaustul și acum erau prezenți pentru a relata din perspectiva lor și a ne îndemna la atitudine împotriva nedreptății. A fost o lecție importantă nu numai pentru noi ca elevi, ci și pentru toți cei prezenți.

 Evenimentul a fost foarte interesant si ne-a readus la o pagina din istorie disputata de multi. Am fost impresionat de faptul că am stat chiar lângă domnul Ambasador al SUA, pentru că discursul său a fost un model.

 Mi-a plăcut discursul Doamnei Ambasador a Israelului, deoarece dumneaei ne-a îndemnat să luăm atitudine când vedem nedreptate, să fim toleranți fată de ceilalți și sa-i ajutam. De asemenea, a spus că pasivitatea celor care au trăit războiul și au ignorat Holocaustul poate fi asemănată cu atitudinea indiferentă în fața bullyingului de astăzi. Am simțit că vorbește atunci chiar pentru elevi.
